Accident Lawyers

Bicyclists can be seen on just about any roadway in and around South Florida, as the climate here is obviously amenable to such a form of travel and exercise.  However, bicyclists face significant disadvantages every time they share the road with much larger vehicles, and when accidents occur they often lead to disastrous results.  One bicyclist in Pompano Beach was seriously injured when hit by a car this morning.

According to the Sun-Sentinel:

“A bicyclist appeared to be seriously injured when a car struck him Monday morning in Pompano Beach, witnesses said.

The crash happened about 7 a.m. as a Hyundai Sonata that was traveling in an eastbound lane of West Sample Road collided with the bicycle near the intersection of Northwest Fifth Terrace, witnesses said.

As of 8 a.m., most of the eastbound lanes near the crash site were closed while officials investigated. The driver of the car stopped and spoke with deputies after the crash.

Corey Hoffses, 47, said that the driver appeared to have had the green light when the car passed through the intersection. He said the bicyclist was bleeding from the head after the accident, and Hoffses and another man later prayed for the man.”

While one witness’ account will likely be part of the determination of fault, authorities obviously have more work to do before they come to a conclusion regarding the cause of the accident.  If you or someone you love has been harmed in any sort of collision, you need the help of Boca Raton accident lawyers who understand how to work through situations where both parties are partially at fault in order to successfully fight for the rights of their clients.  Contact Bernstein & Maryanoff today to schedule a free initial consultation.
